How Warm Do Montanans Keep Their Homes in Winter?

Luckily, Montana's winter has been very moderate compared to years past. In fact, I think the pendulum has swung so far in the opposite direction that it doesn't even feel like winter.

But remember those days when it was 10 degrees, sitting in your living room shivering so hard that your teeth fell right out of your yap.

I saw a Reddit post asking what temperature you keep your thermostat at, so I turned it around on our listeners to see what Montanans do with theirs. Here are our findings.

What temperatures do Montanans keep their houses at?

There was a wide range of answers. The lowest temp we saw was 60 degrees from Mandy D., and the hottest was 86.

Wait a minute, 86 degrees? Are you insane, Ivette K? I think she's joking, but I can't say for certain. I am a humongous baby when it comes to being cold, but 86 degrees is going to kill a player.

On the flip side, we had a listener, Ron, say that he had his bedroom window open. I love sleeping with the window open to cool the place down, but goodness gracious, it's still in the 20s at night.

We had one listener, Desiree A., who laid out a thorough explanation. "As a woman who lives alone and pays all my own bills. I set to whatever my heart desires. Feeling cold, lets crank it to 75. Too hot, turn it all the way off."
