Montana State to Increase Security at Brawl of the Wild on Saturday

It's not just extra MHP troopers that are being called in this weekend...

Montana State University is beefing up security measures for the Cat-Griz game on Saturday in light of the Paris terrorist attacks last Friday that left over 100 people dead.

NBC Montana says the extra security is based on guidelines suggested by the federal Department of Homeland Security.

One stadium usher says there will be more police than usual during the game, on top of the typical security measures like checking bags. Many Bobcat fans say they are not worried about their safety.

"I understand the precautions for it. I think because it's such a big game and it's nationally recognized that I would understand if it did, but at the same time, I don't know if we feel the need to feel threatened here," said Chris Mauzy, a strengh coach at MSU.

One MSU football player says he is not afraid either.

"I mean I never heard of a terrorist attack happening here in Montana, so I'm not too much worried about a terrorist attack," said Jessie Clark III, a Bobcat defensive end.

The gates open at 10:30 a.m. for the Cat-Griz game on Saturday. Kickoff is at 12:10 p.m.
