Where Montana Lands on WalletHub’s Sinful States List.
Repent your sins, you sinners.
The financial website WalletHub conducted a study to call out the most sinful states in America.
Some states are more well-behaved than others, though. In order to determine the states that most give in to their desires, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 54 key indicators of immoral or illicit behavior. Our data set ranges from violent crimes per capita to excessive drinking to the share of the population with gambling disorders. -WalletHub

No surprise that the most sinful state was Nevada (60.98 Vice index score). I mean, they're the home of Sin City, so I would hope so. California, Louisiana, Florida, and Texas round out the top 5.
The least sinful state is Wyoming (24.49 Vice index score), followed by New Hampshire, Idaho, Vermont, and Maine.
It's interesting that two of our neighbors were in the bottom five, while Montana was closer to the middle. What's the difference once you cross the state lines?
