Montana Ranks In The Bottom 10 On This List, But That’s Great
You don't hear a lot of people going around chanting, "WE'RE BOTTOM 10, WE'RE BOTTOM 10," but perhaps we should when you find out what list Montana found itself at the bottom of recently.
Everyday some website is putting out a list that touts states as the best at this or that, and we love to see Montana at the top.
Sure that might mean a few more tourists for us to deal with, but in the end, it's better to be at the top of a list than the bottom when it's a positive thing.
For this list however, finding your state at the top, is not a positive thing.
States with the most psychopaths
Yep, we're talking about psychopaths today.
The website Intelligent Living set out to find what states had the most and least psychopaths.
So how do you identify a psychopath?
Today psychologists use the Hare Psychopathy Checklist-Revised which measures 4 traits that are
- pathological lying
- impulsivity
- parasitic lifestyle
- lack of remorse or guilt
I don't know if it's funny or sad but researchers have found that the highest concentration of psychopaths can be found in Washington DC.
Here's the reason given for this,
The District of Columbia is measured to be far more psychopathic than any individual state in the country, a fact that can be readily explained either by its very high population density or by the type of person who may be drawn to a literal seat of power.
How is psychopathic is Montana?
Intelligent Living ranked the contiguous 48 states and Montana came ranked #39, which means we're ranked the 10th least psychopathic state in America.
For once being in the bottom 10 is something to crow about.
