Montana Getaway on Netflix’s ‘Most Amazing Vacation Rentals’
I can't say that I've ever heard of Netflix's 'The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals' show. But with one glance at the title, I'm guessing you can probably figure out what it's all about. If you want to learn about some awesome travel destinations, this looks like it's the show for you. A mansion in the Rockies, beachfront villas, luxury lodges, a cabin with a private waterfall.....these are just a few of the properties that are featured in the first two seasons of the show. And here's something pretty cool, a Montana ranch gets the spotlight in one of the episodes.
A pretty cool backstory
Season two of the Netflix show features Erik's Ranch & Retreats. Yes, it's an amazing place that you can book for a fancy Montana getaway. But MontanaRightNow.com has the story about it also being so much more than that. In the summer, the ranch picks three young adults with autism to come live on-site. The ranch provides work and social experience as well as situations to learn and grow for those on the autism spectrum. What a cool program!
It looks rough - but I guess I could tough it out for a couple of nights
The property looks pretty breathtaking. It includes mountain views, privacy, wildlife, and outdoor adventures. Its guesthouses, lodge, and cabin are just 45 minutes from Yellowstone National Park and 20 minutes from Livingston, MT. This description from their website makes it sound like it wouldn't be a terrible place to plan a stay: "Erik’s Ranch is a perfect getaway for outdoor enthusiasts, families and everyone in between. Nestled among the snow-capped Absaroka mountains, open the front door and enjoy endless miles of hiking and trail rides with your friends and family. Take a day trip to Yellowstone National Park, swim at nearby Chico or Yellowstone Hot Springs, revel in the unique flora and fauna at Gallatin National Forest, or just an hour away Downhill ski at Bridger Bowl."
I'll have to opt for the stable room
A spectacular vacation spot that also provides experience and skills for those with autism - what's not to love? Your visit can range from simple to luxurious - stay in the stable rooms for only $115 a night or rent the 7,500 square foot lodge with accommodations for 12 for a starting price of $799 a night.
