Missoula’s Ogren Park Adds One More Movie Night To Finish Out The Season
Last year, Centerfield Cinema at Ogren Park was an easy highlight of the pandemic - with no other events happening in Missoula, it was a great weekly tradition to head out to see another movie playing at the ballpark. And it was such a hit, they decided to bring it back in 2021.
Of course, this time around they had to schedule it around the Paddleheads' baseball schedule, which meant it couldn't happen every week like it did in 2020. But still, the Missoula Paddleheads - teaming up with The Roxy Theater - were able to screen nine movies over the course of the summer, including titles like Wayne's World, Stand By Me, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Centerfield Cinema was scheduled to end this week with a screening of The Wizard Of Oz, but as I went to buy my tickets the other day, I noticed something interesting... there was another movie on the schedule!
Yes, it looks like Ogren Park will be extending Centerfield Cinema's run this year by just a little bit, and they're getting into the Halloween spirit with a screening of Wes Craven's Scream on October 14th. (They were actually originally supposed to show Scream as part of the lineup last year, but it was cancelled due to weather.)
So there you go! If you haven't made it out to a movie at the ballpark yet, you've now got two more chances to experience it before it starts to get a little too cold. Tickets for both The Wizard Of Oz and Scream are now available at the Paddleheads' website.
