Missoula Public Library Increasing Opportunities to Visit

Regardless of the event or the venue and potential participation, it feels good to share news about more opportunity.

That would appear to be the case with the Missoula Public Library this coming week. Whether it's for personal use or a phenomenal resource for your kids to expand their learning, we bet lots of you have been missing going to the library on a regular basis.

So, comes word that beginning this Monday, May 3, building access will be available to high-risk populations (elderly and immune-compromised individuals) on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9AM to 12PM. Building access will be available to the general public on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9AM to 12PM. Beginning May 3, library users will be able to schedule passport services by calling (406) 721-2665, and register in advance for notary or research assistance through the Library’s website or by phone. Curbside lending hours will change to 3PM to 6PM, Monday through Saturday. COVID-19 protocols will continue to be required of all staff and guests inside the building, including properly worn masks, social distancing and other hygiene measures. Each afternoon the building will be sanitized in preparation for the next day’s guests.

They have handy Calendar of Events pages, classes and story time schedules, much of which is still of course virtual, writers groups for the younger generations, watercolor opportunities, a virtual tour of the new Missoula facility and so much more. It's baby steps in a way. But here's hoping the new access policies that go into effect Monday are just the start of a return to normal for the Missoula Public Library.
