Missoula Officer Named Ranger of the Year
Our congratulations to Ranger Kelly Cole, who received major recognition by the Bureau of Land Management this week.
Ranger Cole was named by the BLM Office of Law Enforcement and Security the 2018 Ranger of the Year. He received the award during a ceremony in Washington, D.C., as part of the observances of National Police Week.
Director of Law Enforcement William Woody presented the award, and noted that Cole served as the acting Montana Montana State Chief Ranger and is a trusted member of the local law enforcement team. Ranger Cole was also credited for his work training the newest generation of BLM law enforcement officers.
Kelly travels all over the U.S. to train new rangers. In fact, last year he trained more people than anyone else. We are lucky to have to have a dedicated public servant and law enforcement professional like Kelly Cole in our midst. Congratulations, Ranger!
