It was a privilege to welcome current Miss Montana, Victoria Valentine in the KYSS FM studio this week talking about her audition for America's Got Talent and how becoming Miss Montana has changed her life for the better. First we talked about how a producer for America's Got Talent reached out to her about auditioning. She is an incredibly talented playing the harp and has a great singing voice. Although at this point she is waiting to hear from producers if her participation will continue with the show.

Next we started talking about how since becoming Miss Montana her life has changed for the better. Not just because she wears a crown but now has a platform to discuss issues that mean a lot to her personally. She is working on a campaign called 'Read It and Reap' which promotes reading among children. Her efforts have seen a great payoff with over 10,000 books collected for Montana kids.

Victoria also discussed the Miss Montana pageant and how it has helped her, and now she encourages other girls to apply for the opportunity. With the title Victoria also received a $5,000 scholarship, which she put toward graduate school. She also won a talent and interview portion of the competition adding another $2,000 to her winnings total. She mentioned that the title keeps her very busy, but she has enjoyed every second of wearing the crown.

If applying sounds like something fun for you or a friend all the details are online here.
