Events are slowly starting to trickle back as restrictions are lifted and the COVID-19 vaccines continue to be distributed across Montana. Missoula's First Friday isn't back in full swing quite yet, but there are still a few fun things to take part in for March.

First Friday Missoula typically takes place from 5-8 p.m. on the First Friday of every month. Participants vary each month, but usually include art openings in galleries, museums, retail stores, and coffee shops, with the public getting a chance to buy art and meet the artists. In the before time, this was a very social event, often including wine and food, musical performances, poetry readings, dance, gallery lectures, and more. It's especially fun in the summer with street vendors and performers.

As we ease back into events, the March First Friday will be pretty chill, with a couple of showings at Radius Gallery, and Gallery 709. The opening weekend of Radius Gallery's new exhibit, Sky Above/Earth Below, featuring exquisite new works by two Montana masters, Josh DeWeese and Dale Livezey, will open on Friday Friday, March 5th and be shown through April 17th. Radius is at 120 North HigginsGallery 709 in Montana Art and Framing is holding over the sale and exhibit of "Bears Ears Country" by Lee Silliman, from First Friday, March 5th through March 27th. You can find them at 709 Ronan Street, it's right next to the walking trail, down the street from the new Rockin' Rudy's Record Heaven, just off 6th street.
