Most likely you know or have heard of Lucinda Williams. Most mainstream known for writing "Passionate Kisses" which was later covered by Mary Chapin Carpenter. She just got done playing a show at the Top Hat last night.

Lucinda has a great following and always is a crowd pleaser. She's on tour promoting her latest album. It's a great night seeing Lucinda by herself but it is amazing and worth every penny plus if you get to see her with a band. Last night was standing room only.

This particular night we were blessed by a band title Buick Six (Buick6). They not only brought the house down solo, paired with Lucinda they were phenomenal.

Lucinda allows them a break and plays acoustic. She started off in a traditional country and blues style and received very little attention from the media. She won a Grammy in 98' for her folk style album ( my personal favorite "Car Wheels on a Gravel Road" ) and was named "America's Best Songwriter in 2002" by TIME Magazine.

She played all the crowd favorites and a few new ones as well. The only bummer part on this show was it was on a weekday, but regardless it was worth it and I can't wait to see her and Buick Six again.
