Let me see if I have this right: You get to live on a Hawaiian island volcano while you're pretending to be on Mars. Is this every little boy's dream or what? Just add battles with the original Godzilla and I'd never want to leave! Yeah, Godzilla is more Japan, I know, but you get the idea. Anyway, six volunteers have started a four-month simulated space mission near Hilo, Hawaii. They are living in a small dome on the Mauna Loa volcano. It's a simulated mission to Mars, and all kidding aside, it doesn't sound too fun. In fact, they will be deliberately stressed out and given some very challenging tasks to perform, including measuring lava flows while wearing spacesuits. Yeah, yeah...it's still every little boy's dream! DB
