If you're looking for an event in Caras Park over the next few weeks that ISN'T some kind of brewfest, those might be few and far between.

That said, we did find this one coming up on September 4th you may want to check out - it's the 3rd Annual Last Best Outdoors Fest, celebrating the outdoors and public lands here in Montana and all the people who make them possible. There will of course be a craft beer garden, but that's not the main focus for this event.

Here's all the info you'll need, straight from their Facebook event page:

The 3rd annual Last Best Outdoors Fest, hosted by Business for Montana's Outdoors, Montana Wilderness Association, Montana Wildlife Federation, The Wilderness Society will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 in Missoula. This year’s theme is “Montana Jobs and the Outdoors: Highlighting the Blackfoot Clearwater Stewardship Act,” and will feature high-profile keynote speakers, in addition to remarks by Senator Jon Tester who is sponsoring the Blackfoot Clearwater Stewardship Act.

Last Best Outdoors Fest showcases and celebrates the role our public lands play in generating more than $7 billion for Montana and supporting 71,000 Montana jobs and counting.

The public is invited to attend a business panel discussion that will include the release of research focused on the role of public lands in Montana’s economy. This portion of the festival starts at 3:00 p.m. at the Wilma Theater.

The main event, which is free and open to the public, starts at 5:00 p.m. at the Caras Park Pavilion where the lineup will include a high-profile keynote speaker (yet to be announced), Senator Tester, live music featuring Russ Nasset and the Revelators followed by Jackson Holte & The Highway Patrol. Join us for a craft beer garden, food trucks, and display booths from outdoor businesses and organizations. The first 500 guests will receive a free commemorative LBOF 2019 reusable cup!
