It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia ranks among my favorite sitcoms. Here are a few of my favorite sitcoms off the top of my head

  1. South Park
  2. Archer
  3. Arrested Development
  4. Rick & Morty
  5. Community
  6. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

You will notice I don't have The Office or Parks & Recreation on the list. Here's my hottest take: The Office is overrated.

That's right. I think The Office is overhyped. The awkward humor doesn't strike a chord with me, but hey, to each their own.

Sitcom Satire Meets Montana Reality

I was watching It's Always Sunny the other day. The episode featured the Gang hitting the slopes at a Pennsylvania resort. As I was watching, it hit me that this episode reflects an issue that Montana skiers and snowboarders are facing.

The premise of the episode is that one of the characters, Frank, wants to buy the ski resort to make it accessible only to the wealthy and drive away the regular plebs like you and me. The rest of the characters wanted to stop Frank, and it turned into a hilarious, cliche 1980s sports movie spoof.

All I could think about was Big Sky Ski Resort. Montana skiers will say Big Sky used to be the best resort to ski until all the Richie Riches "ruined it." Did It's Always Sunny rip off what's happening in Montana? It's Always Sunny was Yellowstone before Yellowstone spoofing Montana.

The funniest part of the episode is the ending, when you find out that Frank just wanted to frack the resort for its resources. Unfortunately, that also feels like a real-world issue outdoorsmen can face in the West.

By the way, this episode is from season 11 (2016). It is not a new episode, but it was the first time I watched. I can't believe It's Always Sunny is still kicking strong after 20 years of television.
