It Was A Thrill To Be There

Jennifer and I had a chance to go to Spokane to see the opening round of the NCAA women's basketball tourney, hosted by Gonzaga. Gonzaga played Iowa and UCLA took on Montana. It was a fabulous atmosphere!

And the Lady Griz game was incredibly exciting---every bit as close if not closer than UCLA's 8-point margin of victory would suggest. So congrats, gals! You played a great game and just kept comin' at 'em!  A play here or there and who knows? The first game was thrilling too! Gonzaga beat Iowa in a track meet 93-86. So the "Zags"

 get their shot at UCLA tonight. From what I saw? I will be real surprised if Gonzaga doesn't win big.
