The big winner at Stevensville's Scarecrow Festival was "A Knight in Dragon's Breath Bed & Breakfast," created by Bitterroot River Bed & Breakfast. The entry won Artistic Merit and People's Choice in the Business category. Second Place for Artistic Merit went to "4-H Grows Here" by the Lucky Horseshoe 4-H Club, which also took a first place in People's Choice for Nonprofit/Family category. Second place in that category went to "Vincent Van Crow" by Bob and Audree Tribbensee. However, that scarecrow was stolen late Friday or early Saturday, which has never happened at the festival before. A photo was displayed Saturday, along with a plea for information. (see photo below)

Other winners included "The Wizard of Oz" by Lone Rock Homeschool Group in the Kids category and first place for Living Statues went to "Montana Mollie and Rocky Marmot" by North Valley Public Library. A full listing is at the Stevensville Main Street Association's Facebook page.
