Scoop Up Parfait at the Humane Society of Western Montana
The shelter held an adoption event at the Missoula Dairy Queen on Higgins Avenue this past Sunday.
So naturally, all the puppies waiting to be adopted were given ice-creamy names. It was a big success, but not all of them got adopted. And since you've been wanting a puppy...
A GREAT TIME TO MEET "PARFAIT"
It was another Take Me Home Tuesday at the radio stations with the Humane Society of Western Montana, presented by Paul's Pancake Parlor of Missoula. Jessie introduced us to Parfait, a sweetheart of a 9-week-old ball of gold-brown fur, one of a litter of 8 that was recently brought to the shelter. She and three of her brothers are still waiting for their forever homes.
Jessie had no guess on what Parfait's mix of breeds might be, but guessing she will grow to be a medium to slightly larger dog. This little sweetheart loved to snuggle and was very quiet and attentive.
BIG DEMAND FOR SUPPLIES RIGHT NOW
The shelter is seeing a lot of puppies and kittens coming through their doors right now, putting a bigger demand on supplies. For example, right now there are a couple of kittens in need of special attention, so they have had to throw out a lot of blankets and toys. And, it is helpful to have a surplus on hand for all the puppies and kittens they anticipate taking in over the next several weeks. Any donations from you of such items would be extremely welcome at the shelter.
The Humane Society of Western Montana is open to the public from 1:00 - 6:00 pm, at 5930 Highway 93 South, MIssoula. Check out lots of the other animals currently waiting to be adopted here.
