How to Donate to Gallatin County Deputy Allmendinger’s Family
Last weekend, Gallatin County Sheriff’s Deputy Jake Allmendinger was tragically killed in an automobile accident while responding to a call on an icy road.
Ravalli County Sheriff Steve Holton shared important information for those who wish to provide support for Deputy Allmendinger’s family.
“Deputy Allmendinger has a wife and three small children,” said Sheriff Holton. “The Montana Sheriff’s and Peace Officers Association, in conjunction with the Montana Guardian Fund have created an avenue for people if they want to donate to Deputy Allmendinger’s family.”
Holton detailed the process for donating in a way that all the funds would go directly to the family.
“The Montana Sheriff’s and Peace Officers Association has offered to be a conduit for those donations,” he said. “The advantage to that is people can donate with a check, online, with a credit card or by phone with a credit card and the Sheriff’s and Peace Officers Association will cover the administrative costs so that 100 percent of that donation goes to the family. The association will pay for the credit card fees and they’re donating the time to do the administrative tasks.”
