It doesn’t seem to matter too much where you go these days, there’s a lot of water running in the rivers.

Back in the Dakotas they’re releasing almost a million gallons of water per second from the dams along the Missouri. One Small town in central SD got 10 inches of rain in one 24 hour period.

Here in Montana the Big Horn almost washed Crow Agency away, Boulder Creek inundated I-90 for a short period of time and the Musselshell swamped Roundup. The Yellowstone is running bank full same thing for the Gallatin, Madison and Jefferson over by Three Forks. I was just through there and got shot of the Madison in the Headwaters State Park area. It’s full and there’s a lot more snow in the mountains in the background.

Considering this is the start of the “Mighty Mo” it’s easy to see why officials are saying the high water releases on the river from Ft Peck all the way down to Gavins Point in SD will cause high water problems for about two more months.
