Two Lake County men are in jail after leading several law enforcement vehicles on a high speed chase from Missoula into Lake County.

Lake County Sheriff Don Bell described what happened just after 4:30 on Wednesday morning.

“At about 4:30 a.m. the Lake County Sheriff’s Office received information from Missoula County that a theft was in progress and the suspects were seen traveling north on U.S. Highway 93 towards Lake County,” said Bell. “The suspect vehicle description was provided to law enforcement and it was found that a witness to the crime was following the suspects.”

Bell said the chase was on.

“Flathead Tribal Police and deputies with the lake County Sheriff’s Office located the suspect vehicle which then attempted to flee at speeds in excess of 90 miles per hour down county roads in the Moiese Valley and in the Charlo area,” he said. “Law enforcement officers were able to apprehend the suspects who were identified as Seth Houston Williams of Polson and Sean Patrick Forget of Ronan.”

Both of the men were taken into custody at the Lake County Detention Facility.
