Heidi Newfields’ New Song and Video

OK, so Heidi Newfield hasn’t exactly been tearing up the music business since she left Trick Pony. She’s had a couple of songs out since then, “Johnny and June” was her best effort and topped out at #11.  Sort of puzzling for someone that I think is a pretty good talent. In April of this year she released on iTunes a song titled “Why’d You have To Be So Good”. I just heard today that she’s doing a release of the song for radio play. She’s also releasing a video. Newfield says she got the chance “to dig deep and pull from some real emotions.”  I like the song and the video, although the eyelashes had to drive her nuts. There’s also a documentary video about making the song.
