HEALTH: Could Tobacco Cure Cancer?

How crazy is this? New research has found that tobacco may be key in the fight against cancer.
According to La Trobe University researchers, the flowers of tobacco plants contain a molecule that could be effective in killing cancer cells.
Seems the molecule, which kills off fungi and bacteria on the plant, “has the ability to identify and destroy cancer.”
“There is some irony in the fact that a powerful defense mechanism against cancer is found in the flower of a species of ornamental tobacco plant, but this is a welcome discovery, whatever the origin,” said lead researcher Dr. Mark Hulett. (UPI)
