A great gray owl that has been seen frequently up on the west side of Hamilton has gone back into rehab. One of the owl's wings was injured recently and local folks got it to a rehabilitation center, where the injury is being repaired.

The bird was the subject of many photos during the past couple of months. It had earlier ingested poison and spent some time with Judy Hoy of Stevensville as it recovered. After it was released, it remained in the hills west of Hamilton and plenty of photographers captured some great images, including one of our regular contributors, Mike Daniels. We wish the owl a speedy recovery!
