Hamilton Slips By Loyola in Saturday BB Game

The Hamilton Broncs edged a win over Missoula Loyola in a non-conference basketball game Saturday afternoon at the Hamilton High court. The final score was Hamilton 73 Loyola 66. Hamilton was in charge of the scoring in the first half, leading the Missoula team 19 to 14 at the end of the first quarter and a comfortable 46 to 26 lead at half. Then, Loyola started coming back and trailed by only 15 at the end of the third quarter. They kept on coming at the Broncs, trailing by only one point late in the fourth quarter, 63 to 62. Hamilton picked up some needed points and finished the game with a winning score of 73 to 66.

The Broncs will play Ronan Tuesday, December 18, at 7:15 p.m. Meanwhile the Lady Broncs will travel Ronan for a game at the same time. Thursday evening brings the final Hamilton High School basketball games for 2018, when the Lady Broncs host Butte Central and the boys travel to Butte. KLYQ will broadcast the Lady Bronc game that evening. The long Christmas break will end on January 3, 2019, when both teams battle Frenchtown.
