Griz-O-Ween Treats Your Kids to Fun With U of Montana Athletes
Everyone is invited to a couple hours of Halloween fun in a safe and super entertaining environment.
Monte, the University of Montana mascot, would like to invite all his pals to the second annual Griz-O-Ween event, put on by Grizzly athletes. It takes place Halloween night from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the West Auxiliary Gym of the Adams Center on the UM campus. And it's absolutely free!
It's trick-or-treating and lots more Missoula, Montana style, with players from a number of Griz teams. There will also be stations set up for face painting, a variety of sports-related games and other contests.
Now, your kids (and maybe some of you grownups) will likely already be decked out for trick-or-treating, which is awesome. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes as you enter through the Adams Center doors on the upper southwest side of the building.
The event is made possible by the University of Montana Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Athletics Diversity & Inclusion Committee (ADIC).
The Griz also want to give a special shout out to AWARE for their support of this event. "Helping people live independent lives," AWARE is a statewide nonprofit organization that offers quality, community-based support for people with mental health and/or developmental disabilities and families with children ages 0 to 8. They serve all 56 counties in Montana. You can find out more about this wonderful organization here.
Here's to a safe and happy Halloween to all, and thanks to the Griz for providing just that during Griz-O-Ween.
