You just know that this guy is going to have a tremendous season, and the FCS will be watching. University of Montana Sports Information Director Dave Guffey tells us that UM's Zack Wagenmann has been placed on the 2014 College Football Performance Awards/Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Watch List for defensive linemen. The list includes 38 defensive linemen, vying for the top defensive end and defensive tackle awards in the FCS.

Wagenmann, a 6-3, 255-pound senior defensive end from Missoula (Sentinel H.S.), is currently ranked eighth in career sacks at Montana with 20 and tied for ninth in career tackles for loss with 29.5. He'll be a starter for the Griz for the third consecutive year. And Zack was given the Grizzly legacy uniform number 37 (he previously wore number 58) by graduated two-time All-America linebacker Jordan Tripp. He will also be serving as defensive co-captain this season with senior nose tackle Tonga Takai. Might lofty praise and recognition. Watch him meet and exceed everyone's expectations this year! Are you getting excited for Grizzly football yet? DB
