A Garden Party With ‘MUD’ is a Down to Earth Good Time, Missoula
Did you know Missoula has a Tool Library featuring over 2,700 tools that can be checked out?
Yep, do-it-yourselfers can take advantage of checking out all kinds of tools for those projects for a lot less than you would if you had to buy or rent the tools you need. And if you need a little expert advice to go with the tools, they can offer that, too. And they can be checked out for free as part of an extremely low annual membership fee with the Missoula Urban Demonstration Project, or MUD! Instead of checking out books, you're checking out tools.
MUD is a very cool organization in Missoula whose mission is to provide a tool library, demonstration site, and skill-sharing center all in one location. Through workshops, advice, product knowledge and demonstrations, MUD empowers people to do it on their own through tool sharing and hands-on learning activities. Now with over 500 members, MUD is growing. And in order to keep up with demand, they hold an annual fundraiser to meet the needs of their growing membership base.
So, it's time for a MUD Garden Party this Saturday, September 9, from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m.! This annual event will include a locally-grown dinner catered by Biga Pizza, live music from the talented Wolf and the Moons, local brews, kombucha, carnival games, and raffle prizes.
Ticket prices to the Garden Party range from $20 in advance/$25 day of event for members and $25 in advance and $30 day of event for non-members. Tickets will not be sent out, just give your name when you arrive if you've purchased your tickets in advance. Tickets and more information available on this page of the MUD site.
MUD is located at 1527 Wyoming Street, Missoula. If you are not familiar with all the awesome services they offer, this would be a great opportunity to do so.
