Jolly and Joyful Family Photo Ops With Santa Saturday, Missoula
As you go dashing through the snow this first weekend of December in Missoula, be sure to keep some wholesome family activities in mind.
Our Missoula Public Library will be in the Christmas spirit this Saturday, December 3, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. That's when you can get your family photos taken with Santa. Bring your kids to downtown Missoula and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus at the library. Besides posing for your phone photos, they will be there to read stories and hear all about holiday wishes.
No time to waste, though! Santa’s sleigh will be leaving promptly at 4:00 p.m. And why is that, you ask?
There is a flurry of activities that evening in downtown Missoula, and Santa does not want to miss them! And neither should you.
The Downtown Tree Lighting takes place at 6:00 near the Red Xs. And of course, the annual Parade of Lights event features Missoula's own "Holiday Village," with floats lighting up Higgins Ave, a Winter Makers Market, burn barrels, caroling, hot cocoa and toddies, and more, as stationary floats will be lighting up downtown Missoula from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Getting back to the Missoula Public Library, another event your family might enjoy is Family Trivia Night. Now, trivia nights in public venues is not unique, but usually held in drinking establishments that might not be conducive to youngsters' participation. Not the case this Monday, December 5. Ages 8 and older are invited to test their knowledge of various topics. And a $50 Visa gift card prize will be awarded to the winning team.
This event is offered by The Phoenix, a national nonprofit offering free sober events. As the organization puts it, "The only cost for attendance is 48 hours of sobriety. All those who meet this requirement are welcome."
Reservations are required and the number of trivia contestants is rather limited. Better jump on the Phoenix Registration Page now and get your trivia lovers signed up!
