Easter Comes Ashore Early for Lots of Kids
Just so we don't cause any panic, Easter Sunday is not until April 16 this year.
But a batch of bunny cargo made for an early Easter on an island in the German North Sea, as a shipment of plastic eggs containing little toys washed ashore.
It was a huge thrill for children on the island of Langeoog. It is believed the eggs were lost from a German cargo ship during in a wicked storm. And while little tykes got to pick them up and enjoy the goodies inside, they were also serving a purpose by gathering them up before they became a hazard to wildlife.
You gotta believe this was a pretty big deal to people who live on an island in the German North Sea. Love ya, Langeoog!
