Dwight Yoakam & The Bakersfield Beat Announce Las Vegas Residency
Dwight Yoakam & The Bakersfield Beat will take up residency at Las Vegas' Wynn Hotel this winter.
Starting in December, Yoakam and his band will take the stage for An Evening With Dwight Yoakam & The Bakersfield Beat at the Encore Theater, located in the Wynn. The first set of shows run Dec. 4, 6-7, 10, 12 and 14. Yoakam will return in 2020 for three more dates, March 4 and 6-7.
Fans can expect to hear all of his classics and the stories behind those songs and his music and career. Each night, Yoakam promises to take audiences on a journey of the sounds associated with Bakersfield, Calif., beginning with the Dust Bowl era.
Yoakam will explore the "California country-rock" genre that shaped the music scene in California. He will also be performing his original hits mixed with a timeline of influence for the city. This show embodies the concept of his self-curated Sirius XM channel, Dwight Yoakam & The Bakersfield Beat.
Tickets for all performances will go on sale to the general public this Friday, Aug. 23 at 10AM PDT. Prices range from $59.50-$175 excluding fees and can be purchased via the Wynn Las Vegas' box office or website.
In addition to his residency, Yoakam has also announced a concert in San Antonio, Texas on Oct. 20. Later this year, the legend will be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in the Songwriter/Artist category at the 49th Anniversary Gala.
