Another really fun event to put on the calendar, Forestry Day at Fort Missoula is coming up on Saturday, April 30th, from 9am to 4pm. You can expect everything from logging competitions, tours of the historic buildings, and lots of kids activities including tours that starts at 10am. Other activities include collegiate and professional lumberjack competitions, including crosscut sawing, pole climbing, wood chopping, ax throwing, hot saws, and log rolling.

Annual Forestry Day is made possible by the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula, The University of Montana Woodsman Team, and the Montana Society of American Foresters.  There will also be a huge variety of historic forestry and logging equipment, a really cool restored fire lookout tower, plus crafts and vendors. Food and beverage will be available.

The admission is very reasonable at just $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens, and $2 for students; children under 6 and members of the Friends of the Historical Museum are free.
