We doubt many of you looked at that headline and thought, "Well, dang. There go my plans for the weekend."

But just in case, this actually has occurred and a state's wildlife group is trying to track down and overzealous political campaigner. Let's call it a bear boo-boo, and we certainly understand why there is concern, given what had to be done to accomplish it.

AP tells us that the advocacy group Help Asheville Bears in North Carolina is trying to track down the person or persons who pulled off this stunt. In fact, the reward is up to $5,000 for information leading to their identity. Someone placed a TRUMP 2020 campaign sticker on the collar of a black bear. Help Asheville Bears put the notice out on Facebook including a photo, as well as the reward offer. As the group put it, "Bears Are NOT Billboards."

Regardless of your political persuasions, you might be inclined to think, what's the big deal? Help Asheville Bears points out that the bear would have had to have been “trapped, tranquilized and collared unnecessarily,” to have the sticker placed on its collar.

Seems like a lot of work and unnecessary stress on the animal to try to influence the wildlife vote.
