Cattle, Trailers and Fed-Ex Make Major Mess
I can't imagine the Florida Turnpike being an enjoyable commute under the best of conditions. But Wednesday must have been a real doozy near Kissimmee! Associated Press reported a tractor-trailer carrying 130 calves overturned along the Turnpike. They were loose on both sides of the road, but Osceola County Animal Control rounded them up and a different truck hauled them away.
Then there was a second crash involving three tractor-trailers. That created its own set of problems. An hour later, a Fed-Ex truck failed to slow down approaching the stopped traffice and collided with another tractor-trailer. Luckily none of the injuries sustained in any of these were life-threatening.
What a day! Maybe this is just a normal morning on the Florida Turnpike, huh?
