Caves, Candles and Christmas Converge at a Montana State Park
True, a Christmas event perhaps not for the claustrophobic, but I am imagining the lighting effects being totally ethereal.
A Delightful Tour for the Holidays
If you're looking to marvel at some unique holiday beauty, by the warm, festive glow of candle lanterns, Montana Fish, Wild and Parks has announced that Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park will once again be hosting holiday candlelight tours of the entire developed cave route. There are two three-day tour schedules for you to choose from. And yes, you must make a reservation in advance.
When the Tours are Offered at Lewis and Clark Caverns
Tours are being offered December 16 - 18 and again December 21 - 23. You will need to be a bit flexible with your schedule, as the tour starting times will vary, depending on available park staff each day. But, all tours will be during the day.
The other disclaimer we need to share is that a portion of the two-hour walking tour will be outdoors along trails that could have some snow cover.

Candles, lanterns and hot beverages will be included in your admission costs, which are $25 for visitors age 15 and older, and $15 for visitors ages 5 to 14. All participants must be at least 5 years of age, and nonresident visitors must pay an $8 vehicle entrance fee.
