Back in the day my world revolved around video games. Growing up in the Nintendo era was a beautiful thing!  There was nothing better than getting an NES system with the Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt combo and the gun controller that came with it. Ahhh......I can close my eyes and smell the plastic packaging that came with all those must-have electronics. I'm pretty sure I probably said something at the time like "there's no way video games will ever look better than this!' Of course, that wasn't quite the case. Fast forward to today's games and I've actually had in-laws ask me what NFL game I was watching when I'm playing the latest Madden game!

Jump back to the opening sentence above and you'll see I started it with "back in the day...." Now that I'm a responsible-ish adult my video game time has dwindled. Writing blogs by day, going home to family at night, there's just not enough time in the day. I do still find a little time to squeeze in some Madden but that's about it. I literally just purchase the newer version every year and nothing else. Teenage me would just shake their head at what I've become. Ha!

I'm so far out of the loop with video games these days - but I do know one of the most popular is the Call of Duty franchise. And because of its popularity there's always online tournaments like the one that the Montana Army National Guard is putting on later this month. It'll take place August 19th from 12 PM to 4 PM. It's open to Montana residents and you must be between the ages of 17 to 34 to participate.
