Bull Moose Killed South of Bozeman
A group out looking for Christmas trees discovered a carcass of a bull moose December 1st south of Bozeman. Joleen Tadej of Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks reported the moose had been poached about a mile up Moser Creek Road in the Hyalite drainage. The moose was probably killed a few days before December 1, according to FWP officials.
The photo above is after the group discovered the moose. When wardens investigated the area two days later, the head had been removed. Anyone with information about the poaching is asked to contact Warden Justin Feddes at (406) 579-6267 or call 1-800-TIP-MONT (1-800-847-6668).
