Bring on the Bags – Cornhole Tournament Planned This Summer in Missoula

As the spring temperatures start to get warmer and warmer, our attention starts turning towards our yards. There is nothing more relaxing than chillin in the back yard on a warm sunny day. But, other than rolling in the grass like a fat dog, what other activities does a person do in their yards? Lawn games continue to gain more and more popularity. These games have evolved from just a deadly game of lawn darts or tossing a frisbee. These games have grown into professional sports.

One of the most popular of these games has become super competitive. We are talking about the game that simply involves bags filled with corn or sand, and wooden boxes with a singular hole cut on top. The game of "cornhole" has grown year after year into a sport big enough to have tournaments aired on ESPN. In fact, during the height of the pandemic, cornhole tournaments were some of the few televised sports anyone could find.

Missoula is preparing to have a fun day in the sun, at the Fort Missoula Regional Park.

Saturday July 10th, your cornhole skills will be put to the test.

With sunshine in the forecast for this weekend, get your teams together and get outside and start tossing bags. You have plenty of time to perfect your throw, and work on your best "psyche out" phrases.
