Blind Teen With Cerebral Palsy Wows Crowd With Stirring National Anthem Rendition
Rand Paul may have announced his plans to run for president on Tuesday, but his thunder was stolen with a teen with a powerful voice and an even bigger heart.
Eighteen-year-old Marlana VanHoose, who is blind and has cerebral palsy, sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Kentucky's Galt House Hotel where Paul announce his candidacy.

The Kentucky resident was born blind and later diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Doctors thought she wouldn't live longer than a year, but she has bucked the odds and used her voice in a variety of venues and has even been featured on ESPN.
