Bitterroot Special Olympics Winter Games at Lost Trail

Tuesday Craig and I were invited up to Lost Trail Ski Area to MC the opening ceremonies of the Bitterroot Winter Special Olympics. We’ve been doing this for several years and always have such a good time. The athletes have a grand entry march and all the teams are introduced. Their Special Olympics torch is carried by one of the competitors and they have a trio that sings the National Anthem.

We get to see some old friends and make new ones in the time we’re there.

We urge everyone to get involved in a project like this as a volunteer. It’s very rewarding. Special thanks to the Grasser family, Bill, Judy and Scott, owners and operators of Lost Trail Ski Area for opening their facility to these games for 31 years.
