Beer and Film Under the Stars
It’s pretty easy to tell that Missoulians have a love of great beer, as is evident by the numerous breweries that this city is home to. Missoula is also known for its liberal arts college and for being a town that embraces art of all kinds. We Missoulians are also generous when it comes to causes that we are passionate about. I’ve got some good news for us Missoula, there is a great event that wraps all three of these things into one.
New Belgium Brewing, best known for its Fat Tire Amber Ale, is bringing its film show to the great city of Missoula. This Friday, August 17, a hand-selected variety of amateur films will be shown at Caras Park, along with some amazing beer. The films shown will vary from comedic shorts to environmental documentaries. There will be something for everyone.
“Clips of Faith,” as the film festival is called, raises money for local nonprofits. This year the proceeds raised from the festival go to Bike/Walk Alliance for Missoula. This nonprofit has helped to improve the health and safety of Missoulians. Its goal is also to make it easier to bike and walk both for fun and transportation.
So, Missoula, if you’re looking for a great time this Friday night, be sure to stop by Caras Park and enjoy a brew or two and a show. The fun starts at 8 p.m., so don’t be late. In fact, it wouldn’t hurt to be a little early as local food vendors will be there too!
