River Safety Tips from Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks [AUDIO]
After a 44 year-old Anaconda woman was drowned in the Blackfoot River on July 4th, authorities are reminding recreationists who are rafting or tubing on Western Montana rivers to use safety equipment and common sense. Blackfoot River Fatality Identified
On Wednesday, the 4th of July, Missoula County Deputies responded with emergency workers to the Blackfoot River in the area of the Bonner Mill for a report of a 44 year-old Anaconda woman who had fallen into the river. Wind Advisory from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory that will run from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Forecaster Jeff Kitzmiller says winds gusting to over 40 miles per hour are expected throughout the day.
House Fire On Harrison Put Out Quickly

Fatal Crash on I-90
Two Missoula men in their 20′s were allegedly involved in an attempted break-in at a Frenchtown fireworks stand were late involved in a fatal one-vehicle rollover crash on I-90 just west of Missoula. Sergeant Tony Rio with the Missoula County Sheriff’s Department says the passenger in the suspect’s pickup truck was killed, while the driver was thrown from the vehicle.

Train Fatality Victim Identified [AUDIO]
Sometime this past weekend, 21 year-old Nicolas Anthony Rivera of Missoula found himself on the railroad tracks directly across from the Rock Creek Lodge when a passing Montana Rail Link train struck and killed him. Public Information Officer for the Missoula County Sheriff’s Department Jason Johnson says dental records were used to identify Rivera’s body.
Quake Shakes Seeley Lake [AUDIO]
A few minutes after 10 o’clock Sunday night, folks in the Seeley Lake area felt the earth move twice with a magnitude 3.7 earthquake, preceded just 25 seconds before by a smaller quake with a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter Scale. The quake was felt as far away as Ovando, Ronan and even Helena.
Missoula Police Investigate Mall Sexual Assault and Shopko Robbery [AUDIO]
Missoula Police are investigating the armed robbery of the Shopko Pharmacy that occurred just after 1 pm Sunday. Two Dead Following Neptune Aviation Plane Crash in Utah
The two crew members of the Lockheed P2V7 air tanker belonging to Neptune Aviation in Missoula that crashed while making their second slurry run of the day were confirmed dead by Iron County, Utah sheriff’s deputies Sunday afternoon.
