First, let me tell you that I love to bowl. Other than Big Brothers/Sisters Bowl For Kids Sake fundraiser I rarely get the chance. But watching it? Ummm...

But that's what I found myself doing the other night on ESPN. I guess you can tell the major sports seasons are winding down when you can see the Mid Eastern Athletic Conference championship match for women's college bowling between Norfolk State and Bethune-Cookman. Yeah, not a national championship, a conference battle. Now, I did find myself somewhat swept up in the spirit of the cheering (50 maybe) crowd as Norfolk State rolled to a 4-0 victory. And I really appreciated the way they tried to liven things up: One gal spiked the ball after a big strike. And another became the first to ever dunk in women's college bowling. But I have to admit I'm not checking the listings for the next college bowling broadcast event.  DB
