A Feel Good Service Dog and Owner Reunion

For most people, when your dog is missing, your world stops. So imagine a military veteran losing a service dog.

But we are delighted to report that Dixie the yellow lab service dog and her owner have been reunited. It's unclear how she wandered away, but she spent some lonely hours on the University of Alabama campus. She was wearing her red "Service Dog" harness, which helped to call attention to her. Someone finally saw to it that Dixie was taken to an animal shelter for the weekend, and they were able to track down Daisy's soldier a couple days later.

You can just imagine what a sweet reunion that was!
