A parents worst nightmare is finding out that their child is suffering from something that they have no control over or ability to change. All that they can give their sweet kiddos is love, time and support.

I've seen first hand the emotional toll of having a child in the hospital and the constant fear that those parents have to somehow cope with. It's exhausting just watching them go through it. That's why I'm so thankful for places like the Ronald McDonald House, and why I'm always willing to help them out whenever I can.

Growing up in southern California, I used to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald that was located right next to CHOC hospital. All I did was prepare homemade breakfasts for the families that were staying there and be an outlet for them to talk to if they needed it. In comparison to what they were going through, you would think that a simple homemade breakfast wouldn't even register. But it did. Big time. These parents are going through one of the hardest times of their life and if a free comfortable place to stay, that comes with a homemade breakfast and a friendly stranger to talk to, takes off even a little bit of the pressure that they're feeling, then it's 100% worth it.

So with that being said, the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Montana are putting on the Red Shoe Ball - a black tie and red shoe affair! There's gonna be live music from the Big Sky Mudflaps, dancing (duh), auction, food/drinks and red and white fun!

All the proceeds from the Red Shoe Ball will stay right here in Missoula and allow the RMHC of Western Montana to continue their mission of keeping families with sick kids close to each other and the care and resources they need, when it matters most!
