Missoula is back, baby! We're starting to see so many events happen around town after all our entertainment shut down and dried up last year. And we have some real big things on the horizon like Fourth Fest at Southgate Mall and the 4th at the Fort Clebration at Fort Missoula to provide some community fun for the 4th of July.

Here's a list of activities happening around Missoula this weekend to keep you entertained for your Father's Day weekend!

STREAM IN THE PARK AT OGREN PARK - Friday (6/18)
If you missed the Pearl Jam show at Ogren Park in 2018 - here's your chance to see it. If you did attend - here's your chance to see it again. Proceeds will benefit local non-profits, and Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament will be making an appearance. Includes ever before seen footage of the 29-song show. Doors at 6:30 PM and showtime at 8:00 PM. Get tickets HERE.

FREE FISHING FOR FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND - Saturday and Sunday (6/19 & 6/20)
From the MFWP website: "By Montana law, each year on Father’s Day weekend any person (resident or nonresident) may fish for any fish within this state without obtaining a fishing license as long as they abide by the seasons, restrictions and bag limits listed in these Fishing Regulations. The two exceptions to this are Paddlefish and Bull Trout fishing, both of which require the purchase of a Conservation, Fishing, and AIS Prevention Licenses. Fishing for Paddlefish also requires a Paddlefish tag. A catch card is required to fish for Bull Trout."

GARDEN CITY SHOOTOUT AT SOUTHGATE MALL - Saturday (6/19)
A yearly showcase of basketball skills that has taken place in Missoula for 25 years. And after having to throw in the towel and cancel last year's tournament - the Garden City Shootout will return for the 2021 edition. But instead of a weekend full of basketball, this year's event will be shortened to just one day. Stop by Southgate Mall and watch all the action with the different age brackets. It starts at 9 AM and runs throughout the day.

MAKE A TRIP TO ONE OF THE MARKETS AROUND TOWN - Saturday (6/19)
The Missoula Farmers' Market happens at the north end of Higgins by the XXXXs from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. The Clark Fork River Market is in a new location next to the carousel and runs from 8 AM to 1 PM. The Missoula People's Market runs from 9 AM to 1 PM at Higgins and Pine downtown.

FREE RIDES AT A CAROUSEL FOR MISSOULA - Saturday (6/19)
The Back Country Horsemen of Missoula invites families and children of all ages to A Carousel For Missoula on Saturday, where they are sponsoring free rides on the historic carousel from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

**The Missoula chapter of the Back Country Horsemen of America has over 50 members and is dedicated to promoting the safe and sustainable use of back country resources by both equestrians and the general public.**

YOGA IN THE BALLPARK - Sunday (6/20)
The first of three sessions over the summer. A $20 ticket gets you a yoga class that's taught by a certified yoga instructor right on the field at Ogren Park.....plus an after-class meal. Classes start at 10 AM with gates opening at 9:30 AM. You do have to bring your own yoga mat.

Not only is it a fun community event - it also benefits a great cause. Details from the PaddleHeads website describe the details:

Through the support of Yoga in the Ballpark’s headline sponsor, VRTX Fitness, Five Valleys Special Olympics and their athletes will be provided tickets to each Yoga in the Park event. In addition, added to the standard $20 ticket option, each event will have an option for patrons to purchase a $25 ticket, with $5 donated directly back to the Five Valleys Special Olympics organization. Get tickets HERE.

HIP STRIP MOVIE NIGHT - Sunday (6/20)
Bring your own chair (or rent one) and take in a free outdoor showing of The Royal Tenenbaums at the Missoula Senior Center. Show starts at sundown.
