Election Day isn’t until November 6th this year, but according to Missoula County Elections Coordinator Dayna Causby, a large portion of Missoula voters have already sent in their ballots.

"There are hundreds of ballots coming in every day, we see the majority of them coming in through the mail, but there is a large percentage that are being dropped-off in person at the fairgrounds.

Believe it or not, about 21 percent of registered voters in Missoula have already made up their minds and sent in their ballots.

"We have 85,000 registered voters in Missoula county and we've issued out 56,000 ballots, that's a 67 percent issue rate and of those ballots we've revived back 18,000 ballots, so that's a 33 percent return rate already."

Though the county keeps pretty good tabs on how many ballots have been returned, Causby says they don’t keep track of how many “I voted” stickers are taken. Those stickers are still available, even for absentee ballot voters, at the Missoula County Fairgrounds Elections center.
