We are counting down the days till the opening kickoff and the expectations mount for Caleb Kidder.

On Monday, the University of Montana Grizzly defensive end was named to the STATS FCS preseason All-American second team. This comes on the heels of being named preseason Big Conference defensive player of the year. Kidder is one of 9 Big Sky Conference players to earn preseason All-American recognition this year, on the first, second or third team.

So, can Caleb handle the extra pressure of all those accolades before the season even starts, playing at a position he has not played with any regularity in college? We say, heck yeah!  And Caleb says that while he is grateful to be on that list, remember, it's second team, and you want to be at the top no matter what. So to him, it's that much more motivation to prove just how good he can be.

Can't wait to find out starting September 3. Our thanks to UM Sports Information Director Eric Taber for sharing the news with us. Congrats, Caleb. And GO GRIZ!!!
