It was an up and down career at times, with some inconsistencies, coaching changes and injuries to deal with.

But it's time for a new chapter and we want to wish former University of Montana quarterback Brady Gustafson the very best at the "Collegiate Bowl."

Standing tall at 6-foot-7 and having a rifle for a right arm, Brady is an appealing prospect for NFL scouts. Over 200 of those scouts, representing all 32 NFL franchises, will get the chance to see how Gustafson’s stats translate to the playing field among some of the nation’s best when he suits up for the National Team at the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Collegiate Bowl on Jan. 21. He’ll take the field at the StubHub Center in Los Angeles under head coach Mike Martz. Martz was the head man in St. Louis from 2000-2005 and is perhaps best known for being the offensive coordinator behind the Rams' Super Bowl-winning season in 1999.

Kickoff for the NFLPA Bowl is set for 2:15 p.m. MT on Jan. 21. Fans can tune in to watch the game on Fox Sports One.Our thanks to University of Montana Sports Information Director Eric Taber for the update.
Knock 'em out, Gus!    DB
