At around 8:45 p.m. on Friday, a Missoula Police Officer responded to a residence in the 1500 block of McDonald Avenue. A complainant called 911 to report that his cousin had assaulted him, tried to break the windows of his apartment, and then drove a vehicle into the residence. The caller initially reported that 34-year-old June Creemedicine hit him with the vehicle before she left the scene. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.

“When the officers arrived, they spoke to the victim who clarified that his cousin had not actually driven her vehicle into his apartment, but rather had pulled the vehicle up close enough, and at such a velocity, that he thought she would have hit him,” Welsh said. “He ended up falling backwards away from the car and did suffer minor injuries as a result.”

According to court documents, the tire tracks left by the vehicle came within a foot or two of the door of the apartment.

“He provided a description of his cousin and the vehicle she was driving, as well as a license plate number,” Welsh said. “The officers were able to trace the license plate number to Creemedicine’s residence where they did find her a short time later.”

When Creemedicine opened the door, officers immediately smelled an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her. She was swaying in the doorway and appeared to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

Creemedicine was taken into custody and transported to the Missoula County Jail. She is currently being charged with felony criminal endangerment, DUI, driving with a suspended license, and operating without liability insurance.
