You’ve probably noticed something different about the KYSS-FM radio signal the past couple of days. Tuesday morning it wasn’t there at all. Power lines were down serving the transmitter at the top of Snowbowl. That got fixed but then some of the electronics in the transmitter went haywire and it was hard to hear in many places. Our technical people braved the bitter cold (wind chill -50) and went up the mountain to get things fixed. They did the best they could and had to order parts to complete the fix. So now some people can hear KYSS-FM and some can’t. They’re working on it and hopefully it won’t be long before we’re back up and running at full power. We’ll keep you up to date.
